Maximize fertility - Optimize hatchability
OptiChick 3.0™ is a unique combination of different components that have proven to boost the fertility, productivity and hatchability of poultry breeder flocks. This synergetic combination of a vitamin metabolite and a nature identical carotenoid enables the breeders to produce a significant higher amount of viable chicks. OptiChick 3.0™can be fed to both male and female parents/breeders. For the roosters, it will have positive effects on the semen quality and rooster longevity. The breeder hens are favoured by a higher laying rate, a lower mortality and a better shell quality. Finally, this results in a higher number of hatching chicks. The beige-whitish, fine powder material is free flowing and heat stable during the manufacturing of premixes or complete diets. Because of its high concentration, it is only needed in a relative low inclusion rate.

From scientific research, we know that, on average, 20% of the total potential of eggs are not resulting in a viable chick. This can end up in a financial loss of more than 10$ per hen/ cycle. Allowing the breeders to produce more and healthier chicks, this would give an economical benefit to the breeding farm.
Using OptiChick 3.0™ in the breeder and rooster diet will have positive effects on the chick quantity and quality, mainly due to its anti-oxidative role. This anti-oxidative function will increase the fertility of the males by producing more and better semen, and by increasing the longevity of the roosters. The breeder hens can vertically transfer the anti-oxidant to the eggs, which will give a better protection to the embryo during the incubation process.
Another positive effect of OptiChick 3.0™ is an improved calcium transport from the egg to the embryo. This is not only important for the development of the skeleton, but calcium also interferes in the muscle contractions (heart function). This will lead to a better liveability of the developing embryo, resulting in a higher number of hatching chicks. Finally, the one day old chicks have a better overall quality: they are better protected with more anti-oxidants and have a better immunity.

Conclusion: fertility and hatchability will significantly increase, resulting in a higher number of viable chicks. Also the efficacy of the breeder hens will improve, since the mortality rate will go down, and the laying rate will increase. From economical point of view, the use of OptiChick 3.0™ is always justified with an undeniable return on investment.
